Master Tim Prinkey was born in 1965 in Amityville, Long Island, New York. He has resided in St. Charles County, Missouri since 1977. He began training in the art of Tae Kwon Do at the age of 14 under the instruction of Grandmaster Si Young Jo. Master Prinkey currently holds the rank of 6th degree black belt and is ranked through the World Tae Kwon Do Federation and the U.S. National Tae Kwon Do Federation.
Approximately 10 years into his training, Master Prinkey began to realize a need to cross-train in the martial arts rather than being exclusively dedicated to the teachings of a single style. He began to train with other martial artists from various backgrounds; he started to learn western boxing concepts and Thai boxing concepts. He trained in the trapping arts as well. He soon realized the absolute need to learn grappling and ground-fighting. He now holds the rank of purple belt in Russian Sombo. Master Prinkey blends all of this knowledge into his teaching curriculum, which makes for a very well-rounded program which, in turn, develops more well-rounded martial artists.
Master Prinkey is a Christian man who believes that teaching martial arts and being a positive role-model is a ministry all it's own. There are so few positive influences available to young people these days and he is proud to be able to offer them a safe haven of positive energy, support and learning.
